First Southern Accounces The Opening of the North Fort Payne Office


FORT PAYNE - Mike Ellenburg, President and Chief Executive Officer of First Southern State Bank, today announced the opening of the bank's newest location at 2128 Gault Avenue in North Fort Payne. The opening marks the bank's second Fort Payne location with other locations in Stevenson, Scottsboro, Higdon and Rainsville.

Ellenburg said plans are underway for a Grand Opening celebration at the new Fort Payne location, which will be led by Kevin Chitwood, serving in the capacities of Assistant Vice President, Loan Officer and Branch Manager. Chitwood will be assisted by Customer Service Representatives Denise Melling and Amy Woods, while the tellers will include Linda Kennamer, Heather Marks and Rachel Peek.

Chitwood noted the opening "provides a new measure of convenience for our Fort Payne customers as well as an opportunity to welcome new friends and neighbors".
